Counting down from the 10th to the 8th. We have Constantino Rocca at the valley of sins, (with John Daly), Corey Pavin hits a shot to deny Greg Norman, and Jack Nicklaus winning the 1986 US Masters at age 46.
From 7th to 5th. We have Ben Hogan winning the US Open with two broken legs, Bob Tway frustrating Greg Norman in the PGA Championship, Gene Sarazen hits an albatross, the "shot that was heard around the world" in the 1935 US Masters.
Some time ago, ESPN collated what it thought were the greatest golf shots of all time. This was before Tiger won the US Open with one leg and before Vijay won the FedEx Cup with one hand. These videos include what happened to Constantino Rocca in the Valley of Sins, the "shot that was heard around the world" in the US Masters, some of Greg Norman's near-wins, and defining moments at the US Open and US Masters.
From 4th to 1st. Jack Nicklaus won the 1972 US Open with a 1-iron at Pebble Beach. Tiger chips at the 2005 US Masters to beat Chris DiMarco. Larry Mize chips in from 140 feet to break (who else's) Greg Norman's heart in the 1987 US Masters. In the 1982 US Open at Pebble Beach, wee Tom Watson (the same guy who nearly won the Open Championship at the age of 60) breaks Jack's heart with the "Chip-In". This is considered by most as the greatest shot in the history of golf.
